Pressure calibration is essential for any industry that needs to ensure the accuracy of pressure measuring equipment. The highest UK standard for pressure calibration is set by UKAS. What is UKAS accreditation and calibration?
UKAS stands for United Kingdom Accreditation Service and is the sole national accreditation body for the UK. The BS EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 is an internationally recognised standard for the competence of testing and calibration in laboratories.
Our UKAS accredited laboratory ensures instrumentation is calibrated to exacting national standards. This means you can be confident that your equipment is operating at its best and that accuracy is being maintained.
We are equipped to calibrate and certify a wide range of pressure and vacuum gauge instruments. We also offer traceable calibration (NQA ISO 9001) on temperature, conductivity, metrology, torque, force, scales and electrical measuring equipment.
Our UKAS schedule is as follows:
Oil free calibration (on air): -1 to 200 bar (3000 psi)
Absolute calibration: Up to 70 bar a
Oil calibration: 0 to 5000 bar (70,000 psi)
Oxygen safe calibration (on IPA): 0 to 700 bar (10,000 psi)
Unlike most UKAS Accredited laboratories, we also offer a repair and adjustment service if required.
S.M. Gauge are one of only a few laboratories that can calibrate high pressure up to 5000 bar.
